ENGAGEMENT SESSION
The best photos happen when the couple is totally chill. Denniss and I always aim for that relaxed vibe because it shines through in the pics. So when Zack and Josh wanted to have their engagement session at their cozy marina spot up in Northern, VA, we were all in. It's all about making them feel right at home!
SECRET GARDEN:
WINTER ENGAGEMENT
We had an amazing time capturing Liz and Jesus during their engagement session amidst the lush greenery and hidden nooks which felt like our very own secret garden. Who knew Southern Maryland could be this amazing in the middle of winter? This day proved to be a windy, and stormy afternoon for their session, but Liz & Jesus were game for whatever we suggested.
LOTS OF SNUGGLES
We had the pleasure of working with a young couple from Reston, VA, named Swati and Ravi, along with their son Shreyas, who has autism. Shreyas is an active child who loves playing and laughing. However, his parents were concerned he wouldn't be interested in taking photos or looking at the camera. Our goal is always to capture the essence or personality of our subjects; this is never more true than when we photograph children. After chatting with Swati about Shreyas and learning more about his personality, likes and dislikes, and any sensory issues he might have, I could better plan how to best proceed with the photo shoot while considering his needs.

One of the first things Rae and Niko told me when they rolled up for their fall family photo session in Prince Frederick, MD, was that they needed "just one good photo."
CHESAPEAKE BAY FALL
As a spouse of a (now retired) service member, having keepsake photos of your family is a treasure because often you are separated because of duty. So when Meghan, a Navy wife, reached out to me for a fall family photo session, I was excited to capture her family.
When Larry asked if we could bring our camera to take photos of him working, wild horses couldn't keep us away. We were excited to document Larry's style and personality and showcase his talent as a bartender in such an inspiring location.

Ari and Paul met each other through online dating. Despite their geographical and cultural differences, their connection blossomed into a profound love. Their bilingual ceremony, with vows exchanged in both English and Spanish, was a beautiful testament to the power of love, which knows no boundaries.

Welcoming a new baby into the family is a special moment that deserves to be captured and cherished forever. That's why many families choose to have an in-home baby photo shoot to capture these precious moments. One such family is the Hawkins family, who recently welcomed their newest addition, baby Juliette, into the world. She is the sweetest little thing and was lovingly doted on by every family member. Having the opportunity to capture these special moments for a family never gets old.

WEDDING DAY
Celia and Ricky had a beautiful wedding day, which was a true celebration of their love. The wedding ceremony took place at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church located in Waldorf, MD, followed by a traditional reception at the Volunteer Fire Station in Prince Frederick, MD.
I had the pleasure of meeting Celia through her eldest son when I was his youth minister and confirmation catechist. So, when Celia asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was thrilled beyond words. As I got to know them better, my husband and I learned that their love story was indeed one of a kind.

Ever get those lightning-strike ideas for a perfect shot? That's me, constantly buzzing with visions I can't wait to capture. So, naturally, when I excitedly pitched the idea of a beach playdate with our daughter Ellena to Denniss, he was all in (as always). "Let's Go!" he said, matching my enthusiasm.

During this campaign, I spent approximately 6 hours taking photographs of different groups. Although I cannot share all of them, I would like to share a few photos from the Martinez Family. They had never had professional portraits taken before, and they were the last group I photographed that day. The family had a beautiful energy and were so relaxed and open to the experience that I took photos of them for about an hour.
