A Few Things to Know Before You Arrive
Arrive 10 minutes early. Our micro sessions are scheduled close together, so please arrive dressed and ready for your appointment.
Dress for the occasion and the outdoors! Hidden Lake is an active working Christmas tree farm with uneven ground, grass, gravel, and potentially muddy areas. Festive outfits are encouraged, but we recommend comfortable, practical footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather.
Bring your smiles! We'll help with posing and getting everyone comfortable in front of the camera. Sessions move quickly, so have everyone ready when it's your turn.
What about the vintage blue truck? Hidden Lake has a beautiful vintage 1953 Ford truck that may be incorporated into photographs if weather and scheduling permit. Truck portraits are not guaranteed. All families will be photographed among the Christmas trees.
When will we receive our photos? Your two professionally edited digital photographs are anticipated to be delivered within two to four weeks following the event. You'll receive an email with a link to your private gallery, which will be available for 30 days after delivery.
What if the weather doesn't cooperate? Since we're photographing outdoors, we'll notify registered families if weather conditions require a change of plans.

Telling stories and stories, in general, have always been a passion of mine. I fell in love with photos as a child when I discovered old photo albums in a cupboard at my grandmother’s home.
Anytime I visited (which was often), my grandmother would sit and tell me stories about the people in them. My favorite things as a middle schooler were a Polaroid camera and a Diary. I remember having this pink diary with a lock and key that smelled like cotton candy I got for my birthday one year. I couldn’t lock it by the end of that year because I’d filled the pages with my stories and Polaroid snapshots.
Being in business with my best friend and husband is truly a gift. He’s the one who keeps me grounded and helps me look at things from a different perspective. I use photography as my “art” to help feed my creativity as a journalist.
I hope my photos will tell a story for your family, which will cherished for generations to come as my grandmother’s photos do for ours.

In 2023 I retired from the USAF after a 23 year career, I now work as a contractor.
My favorite part about working with my wife is her passion and dedication she puts into everything she does.
I love the technical aspects of photography and the science behind capturing that “perfect shot.” I specialize in real estate, landscapes, aerial - drone videography, portraits, and product photography.
My goal is to put clients at ease by cracking the the goofiest Dad Jokes.
